Design Community throngs India Design Confluence 2018 on its 2nd Day!

~ Acclaimed Singer Lucky Ali fills the air with a melodic aura ~
Ahmedabad: India Design Confluence (IDC) 2018 saw Anarben Patel, inaugurated the event for the design and innovation enthusiasts across the globe, yesterday. With a roaring audience of more than 4000 students, the venue of Unitedworld Institute of Design in Ahmedabad was buzzing with enthusiasm.
Day 2 of IDC witnessed set a distinguished line of speakers talking on a range of topics on Designing in different sectors. In the session of 11am to 1pm, Rajesh Kutty, MD, Design, Kite, Lead Designer, Bentley Motors will talked on 'Future of Luxury' related to Automobile Design; Ar. Rajiv Mishra, Director of Art, Government of Maharashtra, Principal, JJ College of Architecture shared valuable insights on the ‘Aesthetics of Architecture’, whereas Alain Monnens, Founder, Studio Alain Monnens spoke on ‘Who am I designing for?’.
The noon session from 2pm to 4pm was taken over by Pallavi Foley, Jewellery Designer, who shared her notion on ‘Fusion of Craft and Technology’; Rajeev Sethi, Designer, Scenographer & Art Curator addressed on ‘The Art of being an Artist’ while Carol Hanlon, Founder, TCF Global & BEC Global shared wisdom on ‘Fashion Designers creating a Sustainable Circular Economy’ and Uttam Pal Singh, Head, Discovery Kids talked on ‘Storytelling in Animation and The Journey of creating a successful Indian IP’. The second day of IDC 2018 concluded with panel discussions and live DJ music tuned as ‘Soulful Evening with Lucky Ali’.
Ritesh Hada, Organizer, India Design Confluence 2018 commented, “The second day of IDC received an incredible response. We are delighted to see the curiously youngsters eager to understand the profession of Design and Innovation.The audience were thrilled on hearing Lucky Ali sing live. It was so musical and soothing.”
He also said, “Hon'ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Suresh Prabhu will be unable to attend the closing ceremony of IDC on November 25, 2018 due to other conflicting engagements on the same day.However, he has conveyed his disappointment for not being able to attend the event and sent his blessings for IDC through a recorded video message.Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani too was unable to attend the inaugural ceremony due to ill health. However, she was part of the inaugural ceremony through a recorded video message, wherein she expressed her regrets for her absence and wished her best for IDC.”
Prominent speakers like Manjri Varde, Contemporary Artist, Anar Patel, Founder, Craftroots, Managing Trustee, Gramshree and Amitabh Shrivastav, Founder, The Art Kommune, among others, shared their profound thoughts with the introspective listeners. Discussions on the current designing trends, innovative developments and hassles designing companies face was held, opening an arena of newer ideas.
