Designer to show demonetisation themed line at fashion week

Hyderabad July 7 (IANS) Hyderabad-based designer Althea Krishna is excited to present her collection titled Demonetisation at Hyderabad Sailing Week on Saturday.

The collection is showcased at the fashion show titled Regatta Ball. As part of the ball the sailors themselves would do a fashion show where the girls would be clothed by designer Althea Krishna.

This quirky line of clothes has been created using the print of the old 500 and 1000-rupee notes said a statement.

As a civilian I m excited to do this show as it gives me an opportunity to work with the sailors. It gives me a feeling of patriotism since the Indian Navy is doing so much for our nation. I thought it would be a great idea to contribute from my side as my collection is wearable and inspired from a nation move of demonetising Rs 500 and 1000 notes said the designer.

Krishna s demonetisation collection has been created using 60 per cent organic cotton weft and 40 per cent Tussar silk warp for the sheen. The fine silhouettes depicted in vintage style are ideal for every age group to adorn.

The fashion week started on July 3 and will conclude on Saturday.
