Bibhu Mohapatra leaves his mark on New York Fashion Week
New York Sep 12 (IANS) Designer Bibhu Mohapatra along with Indian jewellery brand Narayan Jewellers by Ketan and Jatin Chokshi made a mark at the New York Fashion Week runway.
They presented their exclusive festive collection crafted with Forevermark Diamonds at the show held on September 8.
The collection of their exclusive Forevermark diamonds is inspired by the universal concept of the solar system. In all designs the combination of sun moon and stars is entwined.
The studded or non-studded linear elements signify the orbits. The bright and sparkling round shaped diamonds depict the planets moons and stars.
"I am very thrilled to say that I had the opportunity of collaborating with Narayan Jewellers to create exclusive new pieces for my spring 18 collection that is an extension of my Artemis collection with special collaboration with Forevermark diamonds " Mohapatra said in a statement.
Hollywood celebrity Alysia Reiner best known for her role in "Orange is the New Black" was spotted sporting a Narayan Jewellers jewellery as she attended the show as a front row guest.
"We couldn t have asked for a better start to the festive season. It s been a beautiful journey till now" said Jatin Chokshi Co-owner Narayan Jewellers.
