Art exhibition showcases Husain s masterpieces

Mumbai March 14 (IANS) A much acclaimed masterpiece of late M.F. Husain The Dancer which captures the sound of the ghungroos on the ethereal golden dancer was showcased at an exhibition here.

Titled The Art Preview it also conducted a silent auction of autographed memorabilia of Husain which included exclusive painting brush by the artist immortalised by him with his signature and his logo of Gajagamini and The Husain Chair.

The recently concluded exhibiting held at the launch of Art Lounge at the Lodha World Crest here also saw two generations of Husain s work along with creations of renowned painter Jaideep Mehrotra Brinda Miller Sujata Bajaj Sakti Burman Jagadish Chintala German artist Helmut Zwerger and Manu Parekh amongst others.

Renowned entrepreneur and art curator Bina Aziz hosted the preview and also showcased two of her works at the exhibition. This exhibition according to the organisers was an amalgamation of works belonging to three generations who have contributed immensely to the world of art.

Art is a form of expression where the artist speaks without words be it a painting photography sculpture or a drawing. The launch of Art Lounge at The World Towers surely showcases the affection for art in people. It s truly an iconic development where luxury meets royalty Bina Aziz said at the event.

The exhibition further auctioned autographed memorabilia of eminent sports personalities like Tennis Star Sania Mirza and Ace cricketer Chris Gayle supporting the Nanhi Kali foundation for the underprivileged girl child.
