17 dams water level low despite rains in MP

Bhopal July 24 (IANS) Despite heavy rains across Madhya Pradesh there are still 17 dams that have not reached their maximum water level capacity officials said on Tueday.
The major dams that are still not full are Bargi Tawa Barna Indira Sagar Omkareswar Bansagar Sanjay Sarovar Rajeev sagar Gandhi Sagar Madikheda Gopi krishna Mahi Halali Samrat Ashok Sagar Kolar Kerwa Rajghat and Pench.
Of the 51 districts in the state 47 have received monsoon showers from June 1 to July 23 officials said.
