Chandigarh, March 11 (IANS) Chandigarh and the nearby cities of Panchkula and Mohali were lashed by rain on Monday.Light to moderate rain was experienced in most parts of the area, the weather office said.On Sunday, the maximum temperature here was 26.3 degree Celsius and the minimum 11.2 degree Celsius.The maximum temperatures at various places in Punjab and Haryana were one-three degree Celsius below the normal.Rain at this time is not considered good for the wheat crop in the agrarian states of Punjab and Haryana. Wheat is harvested around mid-April.
