TN tiger deaths: Forest Department begins probe

Chennai, April 9 (IANS) The Tamil Nadu Forest Department is probing the death of two tigers in the Annamalai Tiger Reserve in the state's Coimbatore district, officials said on Thursday.The death of two eight-year-old tigers - male and female - came to light when the forest officials had gone on patrol on Wednesday evening.According to officials, samples have been sent for testing and only then the cause of tigers' death - whether they were poisoned or not - will be known.
