11 buried in Indonesia landslides
Jakarta April 1 (IANS) At least 11 persons were buried as landslides struck East Java province in Indonesia an official said on Saturday.
The landslides trigger by heavy downpours occurred in Ponorogo district and destroyed 25 to 30 houses Xinhua news agency quoted Sutopo Purwo Nugroho spokesman of the national disaster management agency as saying.
A rescue operation is underway he said.
