Heavy rains likely in Gangetic Bengal in next two days

Kolkata Aug 4 (IANS) There are possibilities of heavy downpour for the next two days in Gangetic West Bengal while north Bengal will experience relatively less rain the Met department said.



"There will be heavy rainfall in Gangetic West Bengal for the next two days. North Bengal will have lesser rainfall but overall the entire state will be wet for the weekend " a Met department official said.

Kolkata saw heavy rains on Thursday afternoon leading to water-logging of some arterial roads like Chittaranjan Avenue and Camac Street.

The traffic situation was normal on Friday as there were only light showers in the afternoon.
