Thunderstorm, lightning warning in Odisha

Bhubaneswar Sep 1 (IANS) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned of thunderstorms and lightning in 16 districts of Odisha on Friday evening.
Thunderstorms with lightning were likely to hit Keonjhar Mayurbhanj Balasore Bhadrak Jajpur Jagatsinghpur Kendrapara Cuttack Khordha Puri Ganjam Gajapati Kandhamal Rayagada Jharsuguda and Deogarh by 6.30 p.m.
It predicted heavy rains in north Odisha and light to moderate rainfall in several parts of the state in the next 24 hours.
Bhubaneswar Met Director Sarat Chandra Sahu said several parts of the state would experience rainfall in the next 24 hours.
