Delhi HC asks its officers to download Aarogya Setu app

Monday - April 13, 2020 9:06 pm , Category : HEALTH
New Delhi, April 13 (IANS) The Delhi High Court on Monday directed all its officers to download the Aarogya Setu app aimed at connecting Indians with essential health services to collectively fight against coronavirus outbreak.
"Considering the benefits and advantage of Aarogya Setu mobile application all the officers/officials of this court are requested to download, install and use the same," said an order issued by High Court Registrar General Manoj Jain.
Aarogya Setu, developed by the government of India, wishes to augment the Centre's initiatives, particularly Ministry of Health, in proactively reaching out to and informing its users on risks, best practices and relevant advisories pertaining to the containment of COVID-19. It also helps significantly in contact-tracing and curbing the spread of Covid-19, the order pointed out.
According to the data from the Delhi Health Department, the national capital reported its first COVID-19 death on March 13. In just 30 days, 24 deaths have been reported in Delhi, with highest five deaths each reported on Saturday and Sunday.
