2 Punjab jails turn quarantine centres

Chandigarh, April 16 (IANS) As a preventive step to handle the coronavirus crisis, Punjab Jails Minister Sukhjinder Randhawa on Thursday said two jails in the state -- Barnala and Patti -- have been turned into quarantine centres.A total of 412 inmates lodged there have been shifted to other jails.He said new inmates would be lodged for quarantine in the jails after medical examination.
