Sunday - April 26, 2020 9:41 pm , Category : HEALTH
New Delhi, April 26 (IANS) A staff member of a private hospital in the South district tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday, the administration said.
This came on a day when at least eight nurses of Kalawati Saran Hospital in the Central Delhi tested positive for Covid-19 and 58 employees, including doctors and nurses, of the Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital, here, have tested coronavirus positive.
The staffer, working in the pharmacy of multi-specialty Batra Hospital located at the Tughlakabad Institutional Area in South district, is a resident of Malviya Nagar.
"One of the staff of the Batra Hospital has tested positive. Four of the family members are high risk and one shopkeeper is a low-risk contact. We are putting high-risk contacts under institutional quarantine and low-risk contact under home quarantine," the administration said on Sunday.
While the testing for the high-risk contacts was done, the reports are awaited.
"A decision on containment will be taken once the report is received."
Hindu Rao Hospital run by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation was also temporarily shut after a nurse tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday.
