Man kills son in Delhi, arrested

New Delhi March 15 (IANS) A 50-year-old man killed his intoxicated son after the latter slapped him over a trivial issue police said on Wednesday.

They said the incident took place on Tuesday night at around 10.30 p.m. when the deceased Gyano who worked as a labourer reached his residence in West Delhi s Bhalswa Dairy area.

Gyano who had consumed alcohol started fighting with his father Chandrika. Chandrika was sleeping at the moment when Gyano slapped him. In a fit of rage Chandrika brought a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Gyano Deputy Commissioner of Police Milind Dumbre said.

His elder son Jugno later intervened and took Gyano to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead Dumbre said.

Chandrika has been arrested on the charge of murder the officer said.
