TN corona count: New patients 4,985, discharged 3,861

Chennai, July 20 (IANS) The Tamil Nadu government reported 4,985 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, which took the number of cases to 1,75,678, while 3,861 patients were discharged from various hospitals.The 70 new Covid-19 fatalities increased the toll to 2,551. The number of discharged patients in the state is 1,21,776, and active cases 51,348.The count of infected children in the age group 0-12 went up to 8,776.The state capital Chennai continues to head the Covid-19 infection table with 1,298 people testing positive and and tally standing at 87,235. The active cases in the city is 15,127, while the number of patients discharged stood at 1,269.
