Vijayawada division rly staff pledge Covid appropriate behaviour

Vijayawada, Oct 8 (IANS) In preparation for the forthcoming festival season and intensifying economic activity amid the Covid pandemic and multiple unlock phases, Vijayawada division South Central Railway (SCR) zone employees on Thursday took a pledge to exhibit appropriate Covid behaviour as part of their duties."In response to the clarion call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Covid appropriate behaviour to unitedly fight the pandemic, Vijayawada division has conducted Jan Andolan campaign," said a railway zone official.The pledge was administered by divisional railway manger (DRM) P. Srinivas along with other branch officers."The main objective of this Jan Andolan campaign is to strictly adhere to Covid appropriate behaviour by wearing masks, maintaining hand hygiene and following physical distancing norms," she said.The railway employees have also pledged to maintain a distance of 6 feet from others.All employees of the division from various depots and field units took the pledge.
