Karnataka: 2,756 new Covid cases; 7,140 recover

Bengaluru, Nov 4 (IANS) Karnataka has reported 2,756 new Covid-19 cases and 7,140 recoveries across the state in a single day."With 2,756 fresh cases, the state's Covid-19 tally rose to 8,32,396, including 40,395 active cases, while 7,81,735 recovered so far, with 7,140 on Monday," said the state health bulletin on Tuesday.With 26 succumbing to the infection in a day, the death toll across the state rose to 11,247 till date.In Bengaluru, 1,479 fresh cases were registered, taking its tally to 3,41,554, including 22,696 active cases, while 3,14,956 recovered till date, with 4,868 discharged on Monday. With 13 deaths, the city's toll rose to 3,901 so far.Of the 932 cases in the intensive care units (ICUs), 468 are in Bengaluru, 47 in Ballari, 40 in Tumakuru, 36 in Hassan and Kolar, 29 in Kalaburagi and 28 in Mysuru.Out of 94,539 tests conducted on Monday, 27,871 were through rapid-antigen and 66,668 through RT-PCR."Positivity rate was 2.91 per cent and case fatality rate 0.94 per cent for the day across the state," said the bulletin.
