After man's death soon after marriage, 9 kin test corona positive

Firozabad (UP), Dec 10 (IANS) After the death of a young man within 10 days of his marriage, his wife and eight other family members have tested positive for coronavirus in a village in Firozabad district.Chief Medical Officer Dr Nita Kulshrestha said: "Immediately after the wedding in the last week of November, the man fell ill and and died on December 4. Since he was not tested for coronavirus, it cannot be said if he died of the infection."The nine persons who tested positive on Wednesday included the man's mother and brother. All of them are undergoing treatment, the Chief Medical Officer said.A medical camp has now been set up in their Nagla Sawanti village to test other people, she said.The CMO said that the Firozabad district has reported 3,673 corona cases so far, of which 171 are active while 67 others have died.
