Kolkata May 4 (IANS) After Calcutta High Court Justice C.S. Karnan refused to be examined state-run Calcutta Pavlov Hospital which was given the responsibility to carry out the medical examination will submit his signed letter to the Supreme Court sources said on Thursday.

He didn t submit for the examination. So whatever he has given in writing will be submitted to the Supreme Court by tomorrow (Friday) without any comment a source at the hospital said.

Karnan on Thursday declined to undergo any check-up after a medical team turned up at his residence following a Supreme Court order saying he is absolutely normal. He termed the seven apex court judges as terrorists and the order an insult to a Dalit judge.

Medical treatment is not required to (sic) me. Medical treatment is required to (sic) the patient. I am alright. I am not a patient. Yes I am more than normal he said.

Karnan told the team of four doctors from Calcutta Pavlov Hospital that his wife and sons were not in Kolkata and such a test can t be done without the consent of his family.

He handed a signed letter to the doctors addressed to the chairman of the medical board constituted to examine him.

A seven-judge Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar on Monday directed the setting up of a medical board to examine Karnan on May 4 and submit the evaluation report on May 8.
