Indore June 22 (IANS) Five patients died on Thursday at the Maharaja Yashwant Rao Hospital here in Madhya Pradesh which informed sources attributed to obstruction in oxygen supply there. However authorities denied it.

Five patients between the age of 27 and 70 died in the early hours after the oxygen supply to the Intensive Care Unit of the government-run hospital was disrupted around 4 a.m. hospital sources said.

Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Dubey however denied the allegation and said there was no disruption in oxygen supply or medical negligence.

He said patients died due to serious illness adding that on an average four to six patients die in the ICU every day.

There is no child among the dead. There was no medical negligence the officer added.
