Justice Karnan sent to Presidency Jail hospital
Kolkata June 30 (IANS) Arrested former Calcutta High Court judge Justice C.S. Karnan has been sent back to Presidency Jail hospital after he was discharged from the state-run SSKM Hospital authorities said.
He was discharged yesterday (Thursday). He was stable at the time of release an SSKM official said.
The 62-year-old Karnan was sentenced to six months in jail on May 9 for contempt of the Supreme Court.
After remaining untraceable for a while Karnan was arrested in Chennai and brought to Kolkata on June 22. He was lodged in the Presidency Jail. On Thursday the former judge was admitted to hospital.
