Medical representatives not equipped to meet doctors changing needs

Tuesday - July 4, 2017 9:32 pm , Category : HEALTH

New Delhi July 4 (IANS) Medical representatives around the world are not fully equipped to meet the changing needs of doctors on upgraded medicine revealed a study on Tuesday.

The study by Indegene -- a company offering research and development solutions to healthcare and pharmaceutical enterprises -- also states that 50 per cent medical representatives indicated that their companies did not provide them with relevant physician engagement technologies or requirements.

The study was conducted with participation of over 500 healthcare representatives across China India and the US among other countries.

According to the study majority of the doctors prefer online platforms to gather knowledge on various medical technologies.

Physicians are now demanding relevant omnipresent content on multiple channels that they access to gain drug information. This will force pharma companies to alter their spending strategy for better top line and a more empowered sales team said the study.
