Julia Louis-Dreyfus diagnosed with breast cancer

Los Angeles Sep 29 (IANS) Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus who won the Emmy for her portrayal of Selina Meyer in the comedy series "Veep" has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Louis-Dreyfus announced the diagnosis in a post on her official Twitter account reports telegraph.co.uk.

"1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today I m the one. The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends and fantastic insurance through my union " she posted on Thursday.

"The bad news is that not all women are so lucky so let s fight all cancers and make universal healthcare a reality " Louis-Dreyfus added.

Louis-Dreyfus 56 who has two children is best known for her role as Elaine Benes in the hit sitcom "Seinfeld".
