US couple find drug in Halloween candy

Washington Oct 31 (IANS) A couple in the US state of Wisconsin found a small bag of crystal meth in their child s Halloween trick-or-treat candy.

The couple from Keshena found the suspicious package and immediately turned it over to the police who confirmed that the white crystals were methamphetamine a hallucinogenic drug reports Xinhua news agency.

Luckily the child did not consume the drug.

"The police is asking the community to check their children s Halloween candy thoroughly " authorities said on Monday.

"If anything suspicious is located please contact the Menominee Tribal Police Department."

Trick-or-treating is a Halloween tradition when children dress up in costumes and go from door to door and asking their neighbours for "treats".
