Two J&K students booked for disrespecting national anthem

Jammu Nov 23 (IANS) An FIR was lodged on Thursday against two students of the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University in Jammu and Kashmir s Rajouri for allegedly disrespecting the national anthem police said.
A police official here said that based on videographic evidence an FIR has been lodged in Rajouri police station against the two students who were seen taking selfies while the national anthem was being played at a function at the varsity on Wednesday.
The two students had not even stood up as a mark of respect for the national anthem when it was being played he officer said.
Governor N.N. Vohra was the chief guest at the function when the incident occurred.
