President to address IISc annual convocation

New Delhi July 4 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee will on Wednesday address the annual convocation of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru his office said on Tuesday.

President Mukherjee will visit Bengaluru (Karnataka) tomorrow (Wednesday) to address the annual convocation of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru said a statement issued by the President s Secretariat.

Established in 1909 by Jamsetji Tata with the help of Maharaja of Mysore who offered land for the institute the IISc is regarded one of the most reputed institutes for science in the country.

In the recently published QS World University Rankings for 2018 the IISc was ranked 190th globally and 33rd in Asia.
