Festival of colours “Holi” will celebrate on feb 2, planning and preparations started and enthusiasm of Holi is on peak. Bright colours, water balloons, sweet gujiyas and filmi and traditional songs are the ingredients of a perfect Holi, full of colours with singing and dancing. Beside this fun it is also important to take precautions while playing Holi. Protection of your eyes, hairs and skin required from synthetic colours which causes allergies, irritations and much adverse effect. With a little safety measures and these simple tips, you can save yourself from any adverse condition.
Safety Tips for Holi
Use coconut or mustard oil to protect your skin
Before playing Holi, apply a thick layer of mustard or coconut oil on your body and hair to prevent direct contact of colours. This oily layer will protect you from harmful and synthetic colours of Holi. It will also make you ease to remove colours after playing holi.
Wear full sleeve cloths
Try to wear full-sleeved cloths like t-shirts or shirts and pants that cover your hand and legs as well as your sensitive body parts from harmful colors.
Use sun glasses
Eyes are very sensitive so wearing sunglasses help you in protection of your eyes with direct contact of colours.
Other Important Tips
Avoid wearing new cloths and try to wear old and ragged clothes so you easily retire these cloths after the occasion. Dark coloured cloths could be a good option to wear while playing Holi.
While playing Holi keep your eyes and lips locked tightly to avoid direct contach while being caught by your friends with heavy colours.
After playing Holi use lukewarm water to remove colours and it is better to use homemade Besan paste to wash your face rather than soap. Avoid using heavy detergent to remove colours, it’s better to remive slightly but not in a single attempt.
Do not try to use hard and harmful chemical pastes and color which could be harmful for you as well as our playmates.
