First Gold medal for India, Mirabai Chabu lifts gold in Women's Weightlifting in CWG2018

India got its first gold medal in Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018. Mirabai Chanu grabbed this gold in the 48kg category and set a Commonwealth games recordby lifting a total of 196 kgs in snatch and clean and jerk combined. With this, India now has two medals. Earlier, Gururaja Poojary won silver in the 56 kg category weightlifting.
