Another rape case sparks outrage in India

WTN (April 16); Even as India has to get over the buutality of two rapes in Unnao and Kathua, another incident has been reported from Surat in Gujrat, where a minor girl was raped and killed .Minor girl's body found in Bhestan, post-mortem reveals victim was raped, tortured for 8 days.
It is reported that the girl was possibly tortured for at least a week before she was choked to death. The girl’s body had 86 injury marks including ones on her private parts. Samples have been taken for forensic test to ascertain whether she was drugged or not.
The Surat kid rape, like most of these crimes, is an act of sexual perversion. The mind-numbing violent act is a result of power-high male arrogance with no regard for existential liberties of women.
Despite India’s progressive laws for the protection of women and children, such incidents have become widespread.
People of all walks of life have condemned the incident. Candlelight march held against the rape and murder of a minor girl in Surat.
