Changing trends in Bollywood Cinema

With the time, the cinema has been totally changed. One of the largest cinema in world producing more than 1000 movies each year. The very first movie released in Bollywood was a sound movie, Alam Ara in 1931. Since then the Indian cinema has witnessed a remarkable changing trend showcasing variety of movies in different categories whether it be romance, thriller, drama, suspense or action. The very first era in the bollywood was golden era portraying movies like Shree 420 and mother India. The movies at that time were much simple and descent portraying the struggles of a common man which he faces in his daily life. Then came the era of romance and action which was from late 1960s to early 1980s in which movies like Araadhna, Anand, Bobby had hit the floors with actors showing much of love and actions on the screen. After these eras came the latest shift from early 2000. Movies like koi mil gaya, Ra-one were part of Bollywood. This era was a pure blended with love, comedy and action. The reason behind changing shifts is the targeted audience as with the time, the thinking of society is gradually changing. The audience of present generation is much advanced. Most movies generally like to deliver what the audience desired, and thus the main reason for the shift in the theme and plot of movies would be the shift in the mindset of the people watching it.-WTN                                                                                                                 www.windowtonews.com
