Rendezvous with Jaya Prada !!
By Jaya Khare : She is still considered one of the most beautiful film actress of the Indian cinema.A versatile actress Jaya Prada, who ruled the Indian celluloid for years, started her journey at a very young age of 13 , with Telugu film industry and later moved on to Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and Marathi films. She was a Member of Parliament (MP) from Rampur from 2004 to 2014. Born as Lalita Rani in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, Jaya Prada ruled the Hindi cinema world. Her career has been a role model for many and today also she is regarded by many as one of Bollywoods most talented performers and a woman who fetched many reputed awards in her kitty. It was an honour to have the legendary actress in the WTN Office. In an Exclusive interview with windowtonews.com she shared her experience and personal opinion from celluloid to public life. In response to a question on the journey and transition over the course of time in professional life Jaya Prada says " I started my journey from very early age. Though it was not planned but it happened. The Indian film industry brought me very close to the heart of people. I think movie stars work with the heart because they wish to feel the role and the character before they perform. I believe politics helps to bring a person more close and connect with the public.". The eighties was dominated by gorgeous Jaya Prada. She looked so gorgeous in Sari that her designs were worn by millions of Indian women and brands wanted to promote Saris. In an another question on her receiving many awards and also be called most Beautiful and Gorgeous Jaya Prada said "I am thankful to my directors who made me what I am today. At the time when I started my career in film industry, there were no talent academies and acting schools, my directors were my institutions, they taught us from basic understating of dialogues and acting. Today who ever I am it is because of them. I am at ease in acting because of them. I like more of real life films which offers me move variety and diversification all across India." I have acted in so far seven languages and in about 100 films. I still wish to work more and as good as possible." On current subject of demonetisation Jaya Prada said, " The idea of Prime Minister Modi is good for Nation and is a big hit to black-money and black-money holders, however in this process the poor are suffering and they are becoming more poor, and a wast gap is developing". When asked about position of women in the country and women reservation in parliament Jaya Prada who herself has been Member of Parliament said, "From very beginning I have been associated to women welfare works and issues which help in increasing the welfare of women. In my films I have played so many roles which depict and talk about women liberalization. When I was member in Parliament, my first and maiden speech was on women reservation for 33 percent and against women atrocities. We fought for Nirbhaya with all efforts.The women in Parliament want the bill to pass and I believe in time to come the women will get their deserved status.I think giving good education to girls is the only rescue. When asked about the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policy for physically- challenged people whom he term divyang should be used in place of viklang for them Jaya Prada appreciated the idea and said they should be provided with more jobs and facilities and should be treated at par with normal people and government should come up with such polices. When questioned about her coming projects on Silver Screen she said that she is enthusiastic for the coming projects and movies. -WTN
