People’s University 2nd Convocation; confers Honouris Causa on
Dec 17, 2016 Bhopal : Mr. Amar Singh & Mr. Sudhir Kumar Mishra , The 2nd Convocation ceremony of People’s University was held today at People’s auditorium Bhanpur Bhopal. Seventy-one degrees were awarded to students who have successfully completed post-graduation course from different faculties/ departments and institutes of the university. The toppers from management, engineering, pharmacy and nursing were felicitated.
On this occasion the university also conferred the Degree of ‘Humane Letters’ (Honoris Causa) on Mr. Amar Singh Member Rajya Sabha and Mr. Sudhir Kumar Mishra Distinguished Scientist Chief Controller R&D (BrahMos) CEO & MD BrahMos Aerospace DRDO Ministry of Defence.
Mr. Suresh N. Vijaywargia Chancellor People’s University and Chairman People’s Group presided over the function.
Mr. Amar Singh Member Rajya Sabha and Mr. Sudhir Kumar Mishra Distinguished Scientist Chief Controller R&D (BrahMos) CEO & MD BrahMos Aerospace DRDO Ministry of Defence the distinguished Guests of Honour were conferred with the most coveted honorary degree by Mr. Suresh N. Vijaywargia Chancellor People’s University in the august presence of Ms. Jaya Prada acclaimed cine-star social-worker and politician, Dr. Akhilesh Pandey Chairman Madhya Pradesh Regulatory Commission, Megha Vijaywargia Trustee and Director People’s Group, Neha Vijaywargia Trustee and Director People’s Group, Capt. Ruchi Vijaywargia CEO People’s Samachar & Director People’s Group, Capt. Ambrish Sharma Director People’s Group, Mr. Rohit Pandit Director People’s Group, Mr. I.H.Siddique Project Director People’s Group, Ms. Savitri Vijaywargia and Ms. Urmila Vijaywargia Trustee People’s Group, Dr. V.K.Pandya Vice Chancellor People’s Group, all Deans Head of the constituent units/ various departments, students families and friends.
The program began with a formal convocation procession followed by invocation of the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the guardian of all knowledge. Dr. V.K. Pandya Vice Cancellor with the permission of Chancellor Mr. Suresh N.Vijaywargia declared the convocation open and the honorary degrees were conferred to the distinguished guests. Mr. Amar Singh, Mr. Sudhir Kumar Mishra, Ms. Jaya Prada, Dr. Akhilesh Pandey, Mr. Suresh N. Vijaywargia and Dr. V.K.Pandya conferred the degrees to the post-graduate students of People’s University.
The distinguished guests Dr. Amar Singh, Dr. Sudhir Kumar Mishra and Ms. Jaya Prada delivered the convocation address expressing thanks for the honour bestowed on them by the People’s University. They praised the efforts and enthusiasm of the Mr. Suresh Vijaywargia Chancellor People’s University who had a vision and devoted himself to the social upliftment of the society and the down-trodden through excellence in the field of medical health education media and entertainment. Mr. Amar Singh saluting the spirit of devotion and sacrifice said that Mr. Vijaywargia could have named this university as Vijaywargia University but it is his greatness and magnanimity that he named and dedicated the university to People and named it as ‘People’s University’. The guests exhorted the young professionals to dedicate themselves in pursuit of excellence. They all wished them success in their future endeavors.
The program concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Registrar Dr. Neerja Mallick. The stage was successfully coordinated by Dr. Raghavendra Gumashta, Sajjad Azhar, Prashant Tiwari, Capt. Sumi Chaudhary and team.
