While Kamalnath has been appointed the new state president in a major reshuffle in Madhya Pradesh Congress, Jayotiraditya Scindia has been given the command of Election Campaign Committee. But the biggest thing that has emerged in this reshuffle is that for the first time, four executive chairmen have been appointed in the Madhya Pradesh Congress. Earlier, Congress had appointed executive chairmen in Gujarat.
Congress national president Rahul Gandhi has named Bala Bachchan, Surendra Chaudhary, Jitu Patwari and Ramnivas Rawat as executive chairmen. Congress has taken a big step by appointing the executive president. The caste equation and the area have also been taken special care in the appointment of executive chairmen. Let you know what the Congress's strategy is by appointing these executive chairmen.
First of all talk about Bala Bachchan, Bala Bachchan comes from Nimad region and is a tribal leader of the Congress. Bala Bachchan has also been a minister in the Digvijay Singh government. By appointing MLA Bala Bachan, who is MLA from Rajpur constituency, as executive president, Congress has tried to break into BJP's stronghold in Nimad. At the same time, the tribal leader has been appointed as the executive president and has tried to send messages in tribals that tribal vote bank matters to the Congress party.
Surendra Chaudhary comes from Bundelkhand area and is a leader of Scheduled Caste. Chaudhary lost election from Narayawali seat in the 2013 assembly elections. But Congress want to take hold in SC's vote bank by appointing this SC leader as the executive president. Surendra Chaudhary comes from Bundelkhand and by trying to become an executive president from this area, Congress has tried to strengthen the hold on the Bundelkhand.
Jitu Patwari has also been appointed the Executive Chairman. Jitu Patwari is a young OBC leader of the Congress and is considered close to Rahul Gandhi. Jitu Rau is a MLA from Rau seat and he has a lot of name in the farmers movement in Mandsaur. Jitu Patwari is MLA from the Malwa region and the Congress has also tried to reinforce the position of Malwa by appointing Jitu Ptwari as executive chairman. Let you know that according to the seats in assembly, Malwa is the the largest area.
Ramniwas Rawat, a Brahmin leader and legislator from Vijaypur constituency of Sheopur district, has also been appointed the executive president of the Congress. Rawat, close to Jyotiraditya Scindia, is the leader of the Gwalior Chambal region. Even as an executive president from this area, the Congress has tried to break the vote bank even here.
Now if we talk about Mahakaushal itself, so Kamalnath comes from here, then Congress has not considered it appropriate to appoint anybody as the executive president from here. At the same time, in the Assembly, Leader of Opposition Ajay Singh comes from the Vindhya area, then there has not been any executive chairman from there.
Congress has prepared its team for the 2018 assembly elections. Congress has given full attention to caste equations by appointing Brahman, OBC, Dalit and tribal leaders as executive chairmen, while at the same time, they have tried to equip the leaders of almost all the regions as regional equations. It has to be seen now whether this new Congress team will be able to beat the BJP.
