Pakistan will launch its space program
APRIL 30(WTN) - Poverty-stricken Pakistan is going to launch a space program. According to the information, Pakistan is going to launch its own space program in financial year 2018-2019. It is believed that it will cost a total of Rs 470 crore. The purpose of this space program in Pakistan is to keep an eye on India and reduce dependency on foreign satellites. In this budget, Pakistan's Space Agency, “Space and Upper Atmospheric Research Organization” (SUPARCO) has set a budget of Rs 470 crore for the financial year 2018-19.
Creating satellite and space centers will cost crores of rupees.
According to the information, Rs.135 crore would be spent for setting up multi-mission satellites, while a provision of 100 crore has been made to start the space center in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Simultaneously, the third project is to create a Space Research Center in Karachi. It has a budget of 200 crore. According to a report, where Rs 2757 budget for setting up a satellite network, the total cost of construction of a space center would be Rs 2,661 crore.
