MAY 02(WTN) - GST data for April has brought relief news for the Modi government. For the first time the tax collection has crossed the level of one Lakh crore rupees label. In April, the government has earned Rs 1.03 crore from GST. GST in India has started from July 1 last year. After being implemented GST, this is the first time that the tax collection has crossed one Lakh crore rupees for the first time.
GST TAX COLLECTION CROSSES ONE LAKH CRORE BARRIER.
According to information received from the finance ministry, in the month of April, the government has received Rs 1,03,458 crore from GST. In this, Rs 18,652 crore has been received from Central GST. At the same time, the government has received Rs 25,704 crore from State GST (SGST). The government has earned Rs 50,548 crore from IGST. The government has also raised Rs 8554 crore by installing Cess.
RELIEF TO MODI GOVERNMENT.

Initially, tax collection from GST was not as much as Modi government was expecting. But the tax collection figures in the month of April can provide relief to the Modi government.
GST TAX COLLECTION TO BE INCREASED AFTER E-WAY BILL.
It is believed that the increase in GST collection is due to improve the economic situation and to implement the rules properly. The Finance Ministry has said that more collection was also from tax arrears at the end of the financial year. According to the ministry, the GST collection will increase further before the E-WAY bill is applied.
