14 cities of India included in most polluted cities.
MAY 07(WTN) - In the case of pollution, the records of Indian cities are poor. More recently, 14 cities of India have been included in 20 most polluted cities of the world. But six cities of Uttar Pradesh, India's most populous state, have been included in this. The World Health Organization (WHO), which in a report a few days ago, has included 6 cities of UP in the world's most polluted 20 cities. The names of these 6 cities are Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Lucknow, Agra and Ferozabad. In this list, Kanpur is the second most polluted city in the world.

Names of 6 cities of UP in the world's most polluted cities.
After having been associated the names of 6 cities of UP in the world's most polluted cities, a lot of questions being raised to the state government. The state government spokesman has said that the WHO report will be studied. State Government spokesman said that all the measures will be taken to keep the air clean in these polluted cities. For your information, in 2013, China's cities were among the most polluted cities in the world, but in the last few years, China has improved the quality of the air to a great extent by implementing the plan of action in the time frame. After having been associated the 15 cities of India in the most polluted cities of the world is a matter of concern for Indians. The highest number of these cities are from North India, especially Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Bihar. This shows that there is a need to do a lot to deal with pollution in North India.

Alarm from WHO report.
Let you know that the World Health Organization has only taken data of 32 Indian cities for the year 2016. Whereas Central Pollution Control Board and UP State Pollution Control Board collect data in air pollution monitoring in 24 cities of Uttar Pradesh. No machine can be used to measure air quality in 51 remaining districts. In such a situation, if data of air quality is included in the WHO report from the rest of the districts then the number and picture of polluted cities in Uttar Pradesh would be far more frightening.Actually, we can not consider any government or any particular department responsible for pollution. We all are responsible for pollution in some way.We all have the responsibility to keep our surroundings clean, we all have to make efforts.
