Beginning of the consolidation of the opposition!
MAY 22(WTN) - We can also say the oath taking ceremony of HD Kumaraswamy in Karnataka as solidarity forum for the opposition. Tomorrow, on 23rd May, when the Kumaraswamy sworn in as Chief Minister in Bengaluru, the anti-BJP parties will be seen together on one platform. Kumaraswamy has invited anti-BJP parties in his swearing-in ceremony.
Many leaders of opposition are going to join the swearing-in ceremony of Kumaraswamy. This harmony is being seen as the beginning of the consolidation of the opposition before the 2019 Lok Sabha election. In the oath-taking ceremony of Kumaraswamy, senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Congress national president Rahul Gandhi and leaders of many national and regional parties and chief ministers of many states are going to join.
According to sources, in addition to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, BSP chief Mayawati, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, Kerala chief minister P. Vijayan, former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, RJD leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, Telangana chife minister Chandrasekhar Rao, Leader of the National Lok Dal Ajit Singh, Kamal Hassan and DMK chief MK Stalin can also join.
As you know, BJP emerged as the single largest party by winning 104 seats in the Karnataka assembly election, but BJP could not get majority. In order to keep the BJP away from power, the Congress announced its support to JDS and with the support of Congress the JDS government is going to be formed in Karnataka. Prior to the Lok Sabha election, the coalition of Congress and JDS in Karnataka is being considered as the beginning of the opposition unity against the BJP. TMC chief and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has already said,”the anti-BJP alliance should be formed.”
In the oath taking ceremony of Kumaraswamy, when the leaders of the opposition will meet on the floor, it is being speculated that perhaps all the parties will contest the Lok Sabha election together to keep the BJP away from the power. But this is not as easy as it seems to be. There is such disagreement in the coalition (expected) parties that it is difficult to keep all the parties united. But due to the Modi wave, it may be possible that all parties of the opposition show solidarity in the 2019 Lok Sabha election.
