Four years of Modi government.
MAY 26(WTN) - The Modi government has completed its four years today. Today four years ago, Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India. Modi was the first non-Congress Prime Minister of India, whose party got the absolute majority. Today, while four years of Modi government are being completed, in these four years it is time to review the functioning of the Modi government. Is the Modi government successful in reducing the problems of the people of the country during its four-year tenure or the people of the country are angry with the policies of the Modi government?
For ten years after the Congress government, when the Modi government assumed power, people had much hope from the new government. During the campaigning for the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Narendra Modi had made great promises to the people of the country. But the question arises whether the Modi government has fulfilled promises done by Modi himself or not? If you talk about fulfillment of the promises, the Modi government has been seen fail in the issue of employment. It is said that millions of people have lost their jobs due to the Modi government's policies. Millions of people lost their jobs due to demonetization. Demonetization was a ‘drastic decision’ taken by Modi government that led to millions of people becoming unemployed.
During the campaigning in the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Narendra Modi had said that if he becomes the Prime Minister then the corruption will end from the country and black money kept abroad will also be brought back. As black money will be brought back the public will get 15-15 lakh rupees. A lot of people did ‘believe’ in Narendra Modi's ‘point of view’, but after all, the BJP President Amit Shah himself said that the matter of 15-15 lakhs was just an ‘idiom’.
Prime Minister Modi had strongly condemned immediate Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Congress government for the rising inflation in the country in his speeches during the 2014 Lok Sabha election campaigning. At the same time, he had promised that as soon as the BJP would come in the power the inflation would be in control. Modi also promised that the rupee would gain stronger than the dollar and a dollar would be equal to 40 rupees. But during Modi government the inflation has not been controlled as well as the rupee also became weaker than the dollar. Petrol is being sold most expensive in the Modi government. Due to expensive diesel, transportation has become costlier so there was a tremendous increasing in inflation.
It is not that ‘nothing good’ happened in the four years of Modi Government. There has been a lot of good in the term of the Modi government. But the promises made by the Modi government to the people of the country are mostly incomplete. But with the help of those ‘promises’, Narendra Modi had come to power, these ‘promises’ are still unfulfilled in the last four years.
