PM Modi to visit Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

MAY 29(WTN) - Following Under ‘Act East policy’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on the important tour of Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore from May 29 to June 2. To increase relations with the countries of South East Asia, this tour is considered to be very important. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jakarta on the invitation of Indonesian President Joko Widodo. This is the first visit to of Narwndra Modi to Indonesia as Prime Minister. Both leaders will discuss on May 30. In Indonesia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the people of Indian community. Prime Minister will also visit Malaysia while traveling from Indonesia to Singapore. Where he will meet Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.

The most important travel of Narendra Modi will be Singapore. Narendra Modi will address the ‘Shangri-La Dialogue’ on June 1 at the annual security conference in Singapore. Let you know that for the first time an Indian Prime Minister will address this dialogue. Due to the growing influence of India and Narendra Modi in the world, India has got the opportunity to address this conference for the first time. It is believed that on regional security issues it will be a great opportunity to express India's views. Narendra Modi will also discuss with Singapore's President Halimah Yacob in Singapore along with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

According to diplomacy, Modi's trip to these three countries is being considered as very important. Modi's visit to Indonesia is very significant because it aims to protect itself from China's ‘potential danger’. China has a ‘New Maritime Silk Route’. This route goes from Malacca, Indonesia to Djibouti.  According to foreign affairs experts, this route ‘covers’ India in a way. India is going to sign a similar agreement with Indonesia as ‘trade-defense corridor’ between the two countries. If this happens then it is believed that India will have an ‘alternative’ to China's Maritime Silk Route.

China always tries to ‘encircle’ India in anyway. China is trying to be close to Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Philippines. If India succeeds to be close to Indonesia, then India will get a strong friend in this area. Economically also, Indonesia is the emerging economic power of South East Asia. If relations between India and Indonesia become ‘mellow’, then India will be greatly assisted in dealing with China's diplomacy.

In terms of India's foreign policy, Singapore is also very important for India. India is in Asia-Pacific region with Japan, Australia, and America. It is believed that in this area, if India has ‘closeness’ with Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and Malaysia in its favor, it will be very important in terms of financial vision and to ‘siege China’. Economic experts believe that if India's relations with Singapore are good, then India will benefit in trade and dependence on exports to China will be reduced.
