Railway will appeal passengers to ‘keep patience’ while trains running late!

Video message on platform for passengers to clear the reason of train’s being late.

MAY 29(WTN) - You must have traveled in the train and you may have been troubled by the delay in the train. But now, due to the serious problem of train’s being late, the railway has decided to show ‘video message’ on the platforms, and this video will explain the ‘reason’ why the trains running late and the assistance of the passengers will be appealed. According to sources, a one-minute video clip will be broadcasted, and if the trains are running late, railway will appeal to passengers to keep patience. It is being said that this will be started from this week.

If trains being late so it is believed that after watching this video, the passengers' resentment will be reduced. There will be a message in the video, "Please be patient, your endurance will help improve your future." Apart from regretting the delay, the video will also say that the maintenance of rail track will make passengers journey experience better in future.

Point to be noted that due to any reason, about 30 per cent of trains are running late and in this scenario, performance has become worse in 2017-18. In the year 2017-18, 71.39 percent of the mail and the express trains reached their destination on right time while the figure was 76.69 percent in the previous year 2016-17. While 77.44 percent of trains reached to their destination on right time in 2015-16. Railway says that due to the maintenance of the tracks, the trains are running late and the tracks are being maintained to prevent accidents.

According to the information, in the year 2016-17, the railways took 2,687 blocks for the maintenance, whereas in 2017-28 the figure increased to 4426. Railways argue that due to the maintenance of the rail tracks, the rail accidents reduced. Railway's logic may be correct, but it is the responsibility of railway to run trains on the right time, and it is the right of the passengers to arrive at their station on right time.
