Price of petrol and diesel reduced after 16 days.
MAY 30(WTN) - Indians today got relief from rising prices of petrol and diesel daily after several days. After several days, prices of petrol and diesel have come down. Since the Karnataka election, prices of petrol and diesel were increasing for 16 consecutive days. Today, on 17th day, the prices of petrol and diesel have been reduced .Petrol price has been reduced by 60 paise per liter, while diesel has been reduced by 56 paise per liter. Decline in the price of petrol and diesel is due to the crude oil price being reduced. The government has not given any relief from its side.
After the increasing in petrol price for the past 16 days, petrol now has been reduced by 60 paise per liter. In the last 16 days, petrol price has increased by three rupees eighty paise per liter. According to the information, today in Delhi, petrol price is 77 rupees 83 paise per liter, in Kolkata 80 rupees 47 paise, in Mumbai 85 rupees 65 paise and in Chennai 80 rupees 80 paise per liter.
At present, diesel prices are down by 56 paise per liter. Today, diesel in Delhi is sold at Rs 68, 75 paise per liter, in Kolkata 71 rupees 31 paise, in Mumbai 73 rupees 20 paise and in Chennai 72 rupees 58 paise per liter.
Let you know that the center and the state government are charging about 40 rupees tax on one liter petrol. Now the dealer is buying one liter petrol for Rs 37 and 65 paise. He is charging three rupees 63 paise on this. The central Government is charging Rs 19.48 excise duty on one liter petrol and the state government is charging around Rs.16.41 on one liter petrol. So about 39 rupees 52 paise is being levied on one liter petrol.
