Can the ‘united opposition’ defeat Modi magic?
MAY 31 (WTN) - Can the ‘united opposition’ defeat Modi magic? We are saying this, because the by-election results, being declared today, indicating that BJP will have to face difficulties in 2019 Loksabha election. It is proved that the ‘united opposition’ is going to be the ‘biggest challenge’ for the BJP in the Loksabha elections in 2019. Let’s talk about the Kairana Loksabha seat of UP, BJP's candidate is trailing to the RLD candidate Tabassum Hasan, who is being called as the ‘common candidate’ of the opposition.
In the Kairana Loksabha by-election, the opposition decided, to go ahead with the same strategy implemented in Gorakhpur and Phulpur, to form a common candidate against the BJP candidate, and as the result is that the BJP is losing in the Kairana Loksabha by-election. There anti-BJP votes should not be distracted, so in Kairana, the opposition decided to support the RLD candidate. If the results of the Kairana Loksabha by-election will be same like Gorakhpur and Phulpur, so questions on the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will start.
Jat and Muslim voters are in majority in the Kairana Loksabha. The RLD candidate has support of all, like Congress, AAP, SP and BSP. If the BJP loses in Kairana, it is believed that a ‘major coalition’ of whole opposition can be formed against the BJP in the 2019 Loksabha election. In order to protect the anti-BJP votes from scattering, the opposition can form a ‘major coalition’ in UP.
With the victory of kairana, there will be a new enthusiasm in the opposition and the opposition will get a formula to defeat ‘Modi magic’. If there are three big parties like SP, BSP, Congress and some other small parties joining the UPA in the 2019 Loksabha election, then the BJP will have to face a lot of trouble.
In the 2014 Loksabha election, the BJP had won 71 out of the 80 seats of UP. It is said that if the government is to be formed in Delhi then the path goes through UP. In the Loksabha election of 2019, if opposition will contest in all 80 seats under ‘major coalition’ against BJP, then the BJP will be far behind in 2019 compared to 2014.
In Kairana, if the BJP loses, Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath will have to create a new strategy. Because if the united opposition will contest in 2019 Loksabha election, the anti-BJP votes will stop scattering and the opposition will get the full benefit.
