JUNE 01(WYN) - The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is making some necessary changes to strengthen the AADHAR card's security. UIDAI has decided to launch Virtual ID from June 1. Now the government will emphasize the use of the AADHAR virtual id. In this case, your AADHAR card will become 'useless'. However, being ‘useless word’ does not mean that your AADHAR will not be valid. Rather it will be rarely used because the virtual ID of the AADHAR will be useful everywhere.
AADHAR virtual ID is a type of temporary number. This is a 16-digit number. If it is called cloned of the AADHAR then it will not be wrong. There will be only a few details in this. UIDAI allows users to create a virtual ID for every AADHAR. If anyone has to give details of his AADHAR somewhere, one can give a 16-digit virtual ID instead of a 12 digit AADHAR number. Generating a virtual ID will be mandatory from June 1.
AADHAR virtual ID can be generated from the portal of UIDAI. This will be a digital ID. The AADHAR card holder can generate it several times. At present VID is valid only for one day. This means that after one day the AADHAR card holder can regenerate this virtual base ID. It can only be generated from the website of UIDAI.
Let's tell you how to generate a VID. To generate VID, you have to go to UIDAI's homepage and then have to enter your AADHAR number now. After that, enter the security code and click on the SEND OTP. OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. After you add an OTP, you will get the option of generating a new VID. When it is generated, your virtual ID will be sent on your mobile i.e. the number of 16 digits will come.
