By-election is ‘Red alert’ for BJP!
JUNE 02(WTN) - The by-election in several Loksabha and assembly seats, including the Kairana, is a strong message for the BJP. The BJP had to face defeat in these elections. It is being said that due to rising prices of petrol and diesel and inflation, voters have defeated BJP. But the big question is that four years ago, when the BJP had defeated badly the opposition in 2014 Loksabha election, now the BJP itself has been defeated badly in by-election.
There is not only one but many reasons for BJP's defeat in the by poll. It is being said that the BJP's ‘traditional voters’ are angry with the BJP. The trader class has been a big supporter of the BJP. But after the demonetization and GST, the traders have been angry with the BJP. Due to the demonetization, it took a lot of time to get stagnant in Indian economy, in which traders had to face a lot of trouble. Due to the decision of the Modi government to implement the GST in a hurry after demonetization, traders were angry with the Modi government. According to traders, GST might have been implemented any day, but the way it was implemented without any preparation in haste, due to this the traders suffered a lot. Merchants argue that GST was so complicated. And the adverse effects of GST affected their business.
The youth has also been a great supporter of the BJP and Narendra Modi. But after the demonetization, as effect, the youth got unemployed in millions, due to which the youth are angry against the BJP government. The youth alleged that the Modi government promised to give jobs to the youth was just proved ‘joke’. The youth have alleged that employment has decreased in four years, and due to the demonetization, there were many youth got unemployed.
Apart from businessmen and youth, the ‘general category’ is also considered to be a supporter of the BJP. It is said that in 2014, general election ‘general category’ had a big contribution in the BJP victory. But these days the general category is said to be angry with the BJP. General class is upset with rising inflation day by day. In the SC-ST act case, the Modi government has made the general category angry without taking sides of the general category. It is being said that if the Modi government brought the ordinance for amendment in the SC-ST Act, the BJP will be disappointed in the 2019 by the general category vote bank.
There is still a lot of time in the Loksabha election. If BJP does not bring the businessman, the youth and the general class together then the 2019 Loksabha election can prove to be ‘waterloo’ for the BJP. If the BJP supports are angry with the BJP, then BJP needs to change the policies to keep this vote-back together. If the BJP does not succeed in doing so, it is believed that the BJP may have to face defeat in the 2019 election. Because Dalit and Muslim vote bank has never been in BJP support and if the BJP wants to cut the opposition's Dalit and Muslim vote bank then BJP will have to do a lot for its traditional vote bank.
