‘Twist’ in Bihar politics
JUNE 04 (WTN) - There is a ‘tussle in political ground’ in the state of Bihar again. Before the Loksabha elections, JD (U) has put forward a demand after which it is believed that differences between the BJP and the JDU can be ‘exposed’ in Bihar. After a meeting on Sunday, JD (U) said that the Loksabha and assembly election should be contested on Nitish Kumar's ‘leadership’ and ‘face’ in Bihar. However, the BJP's official response to this demand of Janata Dal United has not come up. But the BJP leaders from Bihar say that if JDU has such confidence in Nitish Kumar's face, then how his candidates lose defeat in assembly by election. But it is believed that the BJP is currently trying to keep all the allies together, so the national president Amit Shah is listening to everyone.
It is believed that JDU wants to tell voters and their workers in Bihar that they have not ‘fully bowed’ to Narendra Modi at the moment. Long before the Loksabha election, JDU has made a big bid. After meeting between JDU’s senior leaders and CM Nitish Kumar on Sunday, JDU spokesman Ajay Alok said that his party will contest 25 seats in Bihar and BJP in 15 seats in the next Loksabha. Simultaneously, the party has clarified that Nitish Kumar will be the face of NDA in Bihar and just as BJP is in the role of 'big brother' in Delhi, in the same way, JDU will play a role in Bihar.
The big question is raised from here that for the general election, has Nitish Kumar's done 'deal' with the BJP? But the BJP's ‘secret silence' only points to something else. Actually, in the 2014 Loksabha election, BJP won 22 Loksabha seats out of 40 seats in Bihar. Its NDA partner Ram Vilas Paswan's LJP and RLSP of Upendra Kushwaha won 3 seats. In this way, NDA got 31 seats. At the same time, JDU got only two, RJD four, Congress two and NCP one seat. Last time all these parties contested differently in election. During the 2014 Loksabha election, Nitish Kumar had separated from NDA. After returning to the NDA camp, will BJP agree to give 25 seats to Nitish Kumar in Bihar? This is the biggest question at the moment. That's because LJP and RLSP will be in the reckoning? Will the BJP give seats to JDU from its account? Then what will be left for BJP?
It is believed that Nitish Kumar has stepped up the pressure on the BJP for the role of 'big brother' from his side. According to political analysts, JD (U) has tried to make it clear that despite the success of the NDA, for the last time, but this time, in the negotiations of the seat, it will talk about at least equality with the BJP. At the same time, the BJP will have the responsibility to hold the parties like LJP and RLSP.
