19% increasing in the domestic passengers annually in India
JUNE 04 (WTN) - India is one of the world's ten largest economies. In this country, there has been a lot of progress in the last few years. India has overtaken China in the GDP figures of January-March quarter this year. It is believed that soon India will be in the world's three largest economies. In such a scenario, the number of people traveling by plane in the country is also increasing rapidly. It is said that the identity of the country becoming an economic powerhouse is identified as maximum air traveler.
If we believe in the government facts compared to the financial year 2013-14, the average cost of air travel in the year 2017-18 was 18% cheaper. While the number of passengers, traveling in domestic air, have seen an increase of 19% on an annual basis. This was stated by civil aviation minister Suresh Prabhu in a series of tweets regarding the ‘clear intention right development ' campaign launched on the completion of four years of the Narendra Modi government.
Suresh Prabhu tweeted that under the 'Make in India' initiative the Ministry is working on preparing the draft of the domestic production of the planes. He said that compared to 2015, air travel fares have decreased by 18% on average in 2017. In the other tweets, Prabhu said, "In 2017-18, more than 12 million people traveled from domestic airlines, while in 2013-14 this number was 6.1 million. It shows a 19% increase on the number of passengers annually.
According to official statistics, in the last four years, air travel fare in the country has been cheaper and the number of passengers has been increased. An increase in air traffic for the country becoming an economic power is a positive sign. But still there is a need to make some improvements for air travel. Travelers have to face problems because of the delayed or canceled flight. Due to some selected reasons of flights, being delayed or canceled, the government has drafted the provision of compensation for the passengers. Many times passengers in the plane have to face bad behavior. There are ‘many matter’ on which the government should consider, which will increase the air traffic in the country.
