Face verification for AADHAR to be started from August 1
JUNE 14 (WTN) – The Unique Identification Authority of India has extended a month ahead of the date of implementation of the scheme of face-to-face facility for verification of AADHAR. This date has been extended one month further from one July to one August. It has been decided that UIDAI has taken this decision so that there is little time to start this service better.
According to the information, this special service was to be started on July 1, needs some more time. It is worth mentioning that earlier this year, UIDAI announced of launching AADHAR verification service through face. At that time the authority had said that this service was to be started by July 1. UIDAI had said that this would be an extra layer for service security. This will be released specifically for those who are senior citizens and who can’t give fingerprints.
According to the UIDAI, the new facility will prove to be helpful for those who are unable to verify their AADHAR biometric due to conditions like old age, hard work conditions or fingerprints problems. This plan is to be started from August 1.
