JUNE 20 (WTN) - The Modi government feels that the farmers are angry with the government. Due to lack of proper prices of crops and deficiency of cash, the farmers of the country are said to be angry with the Modi government. Therefore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today, talked to farmers from more than 600 districts of the country to gain their support and give feed back of his government policies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi told to the farmers to please them that they would double the income of the farmers by 2022. Talking to the farmers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that our government has doubled the budget of agriculture sector to 2.12 lakh crore to achieve the target of doubling the income of farmers by 2022.

Describing how the income of the farmers will be doubled by 2022, Prime Minister Modi said that four major steps of government policy to increase agricultural income, are cut costs, reasonable prices of crops, prevent products from spoiling and generating alternative income sources have been taken. Comparing to the UPA government, Modi said that during the first four years of his government, the budget of the agriculture sector has doubled to 2.12 lakh crore compared to the five years of UPA government.

Explaining to the farmers, looking angry for not getting reasonable prices of crops, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that in 2018-19 general budget many steps have been taken to give the farmers an equivalent price of 150 percent of their crop cost. He said, "We are working to ensure that the income of our hardworking farmers should be doubled by 2022. For this, we are providing proper help wherever needed. We trust the farmers of the country."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, while giving assurance to the farmers facing distress in the cultivation, "Our effort is to provide help for farmers in every step of sowing, after sowing and harvesting.”Not only that, Modi said that first of all, farmers are being given the Soil Health Card so that they can be given information about the fertility of their land and advice on the use of fertilizers. After this, they are being provided loans, so that they can buy good quality seeds. He said that ‘neem coating urea’ has ensured the ban on the black marketing of fertilizers and it has become available to the farmers without any problem.

Modi knows that farmers' resentment can be difficult in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh assembly election. Since the demonetization, farmers have been facing the problem of cash, which is a major resentment among the farmers. On the other side, due to the import of grains from abroad, while there is abundance of grains in the country, farmers are not getting the proper price for their crops, due to which the farmers have resentment against the center's Modi government. Knowing the resentment of the farmers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, talking to farmers, told them about the plans of the central government that the central government is doing a lot work for the farmers. But only after the election it will be clear whether the farmers are happy about the policies of the Modi government.
