JUNE 20 (WTN) - India's chief economic adviser Arvind Subramanian is leaving his post. Union minister Arun Jaitley gave this information through a Face book post. According to Arun Jaitley, Arvind Subramanian is going back to America to fulfill his family commitments. The reason for his return is private, but for him it is very important.

He is a fellow of Peterson Institute for International Economics. When he came to India he was also a senior fellow in Global Development. Subramanian studied at St Stephen's college, Delhi. He has also studied from IIM Ahmedabad. Arvind has taken the degree of M.Phil and D-Phil from Oxford University. His three-year term was extended to September 1, 2017 for one year. He will leave the country in October this year. He has played a large role in generating Jan dhan yojna and GST. Subramanian also gave several suggestions to the government on improving the banking sector. The Banking Recapitalization Bond is important.
