UN report on alleged violation of human rights in Kashmir seems ‘disappointing’ and ‘motivated’
JUNE 26 (WTN) - India has once again ‘vigorously responded’ in the UN General Assembly (UNGA) regarding Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan. During the ‘right to reply’ in the UN General Assembly, first secretary, Sandeep Kumar Bayyapu said on behalf of India that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral and indivisible part of India. This reality can’t be changed by any effort by Pakistan.
Not only this, Sandeep Kumar Bayyapu said in his right to answer in the general debate on the genocide against human being, war crimes, moral cleanliness and crime prevention against humanity, "Jammu and Kashmir is an integral and indivisible part of India. And with Pakistan's empty rhetoric, its reality can’t be changed.”
For your information, let you know that the United Nations had released its first report on alleged violation of human rights in Kashmir and PoK in the beginning of this month and sought international investigation in it. Then India described the document as ‘disappointing’ and ‘motivated’.
Let you know that Pakistan periodically raises Kashmir issue in the United Nations. But every time India gives a ‘solid reply’. Pakistan continues to accuse India of violating human rights in Kashmir. But Pakistan forgets that human rights being violated in Balochistan and Pok by Pakistan itself.
Earlier this month, Pakistan had referred to a report of the United Nations, referring to the POK, that the "false sense of equality" with Kashmir in the context of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) this matter should not be considered in any way. On this related note of Pakistan, the United Nations released its first report on the alleged human rights violation in Kashmir at the beginning of this month and demanded an international investigation.
But India had strongly opposed the terminology used by the high commissioner of human rights, Zeid Raad Al Hussein and the OHCHR report, the title of this report is "Report on the Status of Human Rights in Kashmir: Development in India from June 2016 to April 2018 Until the Jammu and Kashmir State, and Azad Jammu-Kashmir and General Human Rights Concerns in Gilgit-Baltistan"
According to information received from the media, an official said,”The first time the UN report on alleged violation of rights in Kashmir is fully ‘partisan’ and operated by the ‘personal agenda’, while Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed have been named by the United Nations as a “terrorist organization”, but in that report nothing has been said about them.”
